Export Leader of the Year 

This award recognises a leader who has successfully driven international expansion and strengthened their organisation’s presence in global markets.  

 Judges will look for leaders who have demonstrated strategic vision in identifying and developing international opportunities, building global partnerships, and achieving measurable export growth. The award recognises leaders whose work contributes to Ireland’s international economic reputation and competitiveness. 

Criteria:
  1. Executive Track Record & Enterprise Impact (25 points) 

(Maximum 350 words) 

Provide an overview of the nominee’s career leading international business expansion. 

Judges will assess: 

Leadership in global growth strategies 

Evidence of international business success. 

 

  1. Leadership Judgement, Governance & People Impact (25 points)

(Maximum 250 words) 

Provide evidence of the nominee’s leadership approach within technology organisations. 

Judges will look for: 

Leadership in navigating global markets 

Building international teams and partnerships. 

Question 3 – Strategic Execution & International Growth 

Detail achievements within the organisation over the past 12–18 months. 

Examples may include: 

  • Expansion into new global markets
  • Growth in export revenues
  • Development of international partnerships or distribution networks
  • Strategic initiatives strengthening international competitiveness 

Judges will assess leadership in driving international business success. 

 Question 4 – Distinction & Broader Leadership Contribution 

(250 words – 25 points) 

Outline why the nominee represents exceptional leadership relative to peers 

Examples may include: 

  • Industry leadership or thought leadership
  • Contribution to Ireland’s economic or innovation ecosystem
  • Mentoring or advisory roles
  • Influence beyond their organisation 

Judges are seeking leaders whose impact extends beyond individual organisational success.

Submissions should include at least three pieces of supporting evidence where possible, such as: 

  • Financial performance indicators
  • Market growth or expansion metrics
  • Operational improvements
  • Policy or societal outcomes
  • Independent recognition or awards
