Pharma & Healthcare Leader of the Year

This award recognises a leader who has made a significant contribution to advancing healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical innovation.  

 Judges will look for leaders who have demonstrated strategic leadership in improving healthcare delivery, developing new therapies or technologies, or strengthening sector capability. The award recognises individuals whose work has contributed to improved patient outcomes, medical innovation, or the advancement of the healthcare ecosystem. 

Criteria:
  1.  Executive Track Record & Enterprise Impact (25 points) 

(Maximum 350 words) 

Provide a concise overview of the nominee’s career within healthcare or life sciences leadership. 

Judges will assess: 

Leadership within healthcare or pharmaceutical organisations 

Evidence of innovation or sector advancement. 

 

  1. Leadership Judgement, Governance & People Impact (25 points)

(Maximum 250 words) 

Provide evidence of the nominee’s leadership approach within technology organisations. 

Judges will look for: 

Leadership in complex regulatory environments 

Commitment to patient outcomes and ethical governance. 

Question 3 – Strategic Execution & Healthcare Advancement 

Detail achievements within the organisation over the past 12–18 months. 

Examples may include: 

  • Development of new therapies, technologies, or services
  • Improvements in healthcare delivery or patient outcomes
  • Research innovation
  • Strategic initiatives strengthening sector capability 

Judges will assess leadership impact on healthcare advancement. 

Question 4 – Distinction & Broader Leadership Contribution 

(250 words – 25 points) 

Outline why the nominee represents exceptional leadership relative to peers 

Examples may include: 

  • Industry leadership or thought leadership
  • Contribution to Ireland’s economic or innovation ecosystem
  • Mentoring or advisory roles
  • Influence beyond their organisation 

Judges are seeking leaders whose impact extends beyond individual organisational success. 

Evidence Requirement 

Submissions should include at least three pieces of supporting evidence where possible, such as: 

  • Financial performance indicators
  • Market growth or expansion metrics
  • Operational improvements
  • Policy or societal outcomes
  • Independent recognition or awards
